i made Thermomix-er's crumpets last Saturday, but they weren't a great success. i think it was mainly because
a) i had them too thick and they weren't cooking through (and i wasn't gettin the bubbles on top of many of them), and
b) they needed a touch more sugar and salt in them.
I was happy to eat them *blush* but i like things like that lol no one else was keen though.
does anyone have any ideas why i didn't get the bubbles i should have? stale yeast maybe? I'm about to buy a new pack...
